New Product Introduction Program Manager

Summary: 

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager will develop and manage project schedules and milestones for the introduction of new products and features for a segment of Gateway's US, International, Direct, and Professional business units. The position is responsible for managing a cross-functional team throughout the new product introduction process including forecasting, product development, product data management, supply planning, production readiness, service readiness, sales and marketing readiness, and end of life processes.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities: 

 

? Schedule and major milestone plan development

? Readiness checklist development and management

? Cross-functional meeting ownership and facilitation ? daily/weekly/monthly meetings

? New product and feature/component launch readiness

? Coordinate / Manage: - Finalization of BOMs/SKUs and options o BOM/SKU approval & finalization

process o Systems setup - Agile, JDE, and SAP o SW image creation schedules - Forecast and supply

  plan inclusion - Service readiness - Sales and marketing readiness - Project Issues & Resolutions

? Facilitation of OEM/contract manufacturer key meetings and communications (NPI related)

? Cross-organizational project coordination working with Engineering, Product Planning, Product

Development, QA, Operations, ODM Management, Service, Sales and Marketing

? Project schedule tracking and status reporting

 

 

Requirements/Qualifications/Skills: 

 

? 3+ years detailed cross-functional technical project/program management experience; or equivalent 

  combination of education and experience. Hardware/software new product introduction experience

  preferred.

? Knowledge and understanding of product data management, supply chain and business systems.

? Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining detailed project schedules and checklists.

? Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

? Effective verbal and written communication skills.

? Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills.

? Computer skills necessary with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project.

? Experience working and communicating with international cultures.

 

 

Education/Certification:      Bachelor?s degree from 4 year college or university
