Position Overview: 

The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for managing various, non-technical consulting initiatives & projects relatively smaller in complexity, and will be responsible for the timely completion and the quality of the work produced by the project teams that they manage.  This role will have both internal and external customers.

 

Once a consulting project has been closed by Sales, the Junior Project Manager will be involved in day-to-day project management for our booked business.  Main responsibilities will include:Own realistic revenue recognition projections for an average of 10-20 assigned consulting projects and partnering with Research to drive results and meet deadlines.Tracking and Management of all assigned projects including: scope control, change controls, resourcing, project issues, etc.Producing bi-weekly project status reporting and metrics to be delivered to company leadership.Update revenue schedules where appropriate.Ensure compliant project closure on assigned consulting projects.Synopsis writing upon completion of certain projects.Support Senior Project Manager - Consulting and Finance in the month end close process.Partner with Editorial and Design teams to set expectations and manage deliverables for consulting submissions.Identify areas for improvement between consulting, research, sales and servicing and spearhead process improvements.Assist in the development and revisions of Select and Full Service Offering proposal templates, including project plan templates for use across the business.Participate in business development opportunities as needed.

 

Qualifications:BA/BS degree or equivalent experiencePrevious project management experience required Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of  people in the organizationEffective  time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated conflict resolution/mediation skillsStrong computer proficiency, especially MS Office.  Experience with MS Project preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as in a team environment
