Rio Tinto Shared Services, RTSS, located in Salt Lake City, Utah has an opening for a Process Design and Improvement Specialist. The purpose of this role is to working closely with RTSS Operations to scope and design processes, to develop the associated training and to support Operations implementing these globally consistent processes. Support the RTSS Operations in continuously improving these processes using tools such as Six Sigma and Lean.

The Specialist?s role is global and as such they are expected to develop and maintain relationships across regions to ensure that all operations are represented in process design and improvements. To maintain knowledge and networks that support benchmarking, leading practice identification and knowledge sharing internally within Rio Tinto. Some travel may be required.

The following skills are essential:
Process Design and documentation
Process improvement knowledge and experience (preferably in Six Sigma and Lean)
Collaboration and influencing skills
Project management and execution
Workshop facilitation skills in design and syndication
Project management for project execution and customer rollout

Education and Experience:
BS Degree, in a commercial discipline is preferred
Five years experience in a commercial, business improvement discipline or consulting
