Job Overview:

Coordinate efforts of the Engineering Staff, Planning Staff, shops and FMED to ensure facilities requirements are executed.? Provide regular status updates to the Public Works Officer, Deputy and other PW Codes as required.? Provide monthly updates in the form of PowerPoint presentations and/or briefings for use by the Public Works Officer or for presentation to the Base All Commander's meetings.



Specific Duties:

* Maintain liaison between the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) and Public Works through weekly production meetings and other meetings as required to ensure recapitalization program is proceeding on track.

* Ensure integrated priority list repairs are time executed.

* Facilitate support contracts.

* Track MILCON program progress and ensure Public Works staff is providing adequate facilitation to ensure timely execution of project.

* Liaison with customers and tenants throughout MILCON construction process to ensure facility requirements are full addressed and communicated to ROICC for execution.

* Plan and schedule move of tenants between facilities and swing space requirements throughout construction process as required ensuring continuity of operations.

* Interface with Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (SOUTHNAVFACENGCOM) Program Managers to ensure requests for support from the Public Works Department are consolidated and timely delivered for incorporation in the recapitalization plan.

* Coordinate with regional comptroller to ensure available funding for repairs.

* Track and plan expenditures to ensure budget goals are reached for fiscal year obligations.

* Track work in progress for quality and timeliness.

* Continuously review emerging facility requirements, pending IPL repairs and MILCON program to validate all facility requirements are being met and there is no duplication of effort.

* Coordinate with various PW codes to initiate a Work Induction program to determine execution method for various facility repair requirements.

* Provide regular feedback to tenants and customers on facility repair status.? Receive customer requests for changes to construction program and review with PW staff to determine validity of request.? Provide direction to ROICC to incorporate approved customer requested changes.

* Ensure Facility Support Contracts are adjusted as facilities come on-line or go off-line due to construction activities.


Skills/Qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management, with Project Management experience.

* Extensive technical and practical knowledge and experience in Public Works Facilities concepts and principles.

* Ability to predict potential problem areas and initiate preventive measures.

* Extensive skill and ability in monitoring Public Works Department to ensure successful and timely completion.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and NAVFAC WebCM to gather, collate, and present information.
