Program Coordinator

Dept: Neurology The Program Coordinator will assist in the filing of all reports and medical records on a daily basis, prepares designated charts for the next day clinic visits, including all necessary forms, which are labeled and dated, print Medic lists as required and distribute as directed, retrieves telephone messages from reception desk, complete outguides, pull charts and distribute to appropriate personnel. Other duties include: answering telephone calls efficiently and courteously, providing information as requested or route calls appropriately, respond to request for medical records according to office protocol and work as part of the clinic staff team and accept other duties as requested.

Position Type: Full-Time
Education/Special Skills Required: Minimum of one year in a medical office or hospital environment and previous knowledge of record keeping systems is preferred. Strong organizational skills are needed to effectively communicate with physicians, patients and fellow workers. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work responsibilities. Must be able to type 30 WPM and have some computer skills. Must be able to relate to the goals of the department and supervisor.
