We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Program Manager for our new facility in Burr Ridge, IL. 

 

For the Program Manager with a passion for managing and planning the delivery of programs and associated services, this is an opportunity to be at the forefront of the exciting changes in education. Your strong ability to establish and foster productive, long-term relationships at both the state and local level combined with your talent to lead groups of people in challenging and complex endeavors will help ensure the delivery of CTB solutions on time, and within budget. This is a position of great responsibility, as you will be responsible for projects with budgets of $5Mil to $10Mil.
 
As our Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing and implementing a high profile, complex and comprehensive state assessment program.  In this role you will work directly with our customer at the State Department of Education, and you will lead and manage functional organizations within a matrix environment at CTB to ensure successful performance. 

Bachelor's degree in business, education, or equivalent experience required; an advanced degree is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of project/program management planning, including program planning, program oversight, customer relationship management, and negotiation. Strong ability to establish and foster productive, long-term relationships with both internal and external customers. Experience in understanding and interpreting the official policies and political environment affecting programs. Demonstrated ability to resolve serious program performance problems. Four-plus years experience working in a program management environment with demonstrated success planning, coordinating, or fulfilling a major role on complex programs. Experience managing multi-million dollar programs is required. Experience managing fixed-price programs, is preferred. Strong ability to lead groups of people in challenging and complex endeavors, as demonstrated by successful leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to work with others, including internal staff and outside customers, to design, plan, and deliver solutions. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire others to find creative solutions to challenging situations or problems.  Experience in selling or creating solutions to expand and support business opportunities for government of commercial organizations. Must be highly organized and self-directed and able to direct multiple projects and people simultaneously. Must be able to travel frequently and for up to several days, sometimes weeks, at a time.
