Program Manager, Scholarship Programs

NACME Mission: to provide leadership and support for the national effort to increase the representation of successful African American, American Indian and Latino women and men in engineering and technology, math- and science-based careers.  NACME employs a staff of 19 in a dynamic team-centered environment.

 

Qualifications: NACME seeks an individual with an in-depth knowledge of minority engineering and science student enrollment and retention management to serve as liaison to NACME partner academic institutions and corporate donors.  Experience desired in program implementation, statistical and data analyses,  planning and organizing effective processes for sustained program expansion, developing report formats (standard and ad hoc) for supporting management decisions.  Additional requirements include demonstrated ability to:  work effectively with faculty, administrators, and corporate contacts; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; pay strong attention to details when analyzing and interpreting data and other institutional information. Develop productive and effective relationship with NACME?s research consultant.

 

Responsibilities: Promote an understanding of NACME?s mission and facilitate information flow to faculty, administrators, students, other engineering organizations and institutions in diverse communities. Develop effective Conditions of Award with partner institutions. Provide oversight to the management of NACME scholarship program and coordinate annual University Partner meeting.  Collect and record all appropriate data to meet NACME?s fiscal requirements from partner institutions as well as data that monitor the performance of each institution.  NACME?s Support NACME?s research group in monitoring and reporting on institutional metrics.  Manage the ?Request for Proposal? process for the selection of new partner institutions. Successfully implement NACME?s grant program at new institutions. Assist in the implementation of the Community College Program. Work closely with NACME Vice Presidents to cultivate a knowledge-sharing community among partner schools.
