Project Management Director

Description:
Responsible for business consulting and process improvement activities for the Health Advocacy & Specialty Medical Management Operations within Medical Management.Provides managerial and technical direction for one or more complex projects consisting of one or more project teams. Projects may span the entire organization requiring fundamental changes to the systems infrastructure, business units, and relationships among both internal and external clients and suppliers. Projects may require the application of new technology and may result in significant corporate changes. Some projects may be the result of corporate mergers or acquisitions that could require the integration of one or more large systems. Provides comprehensive consultation to management regarding short and long-term business requirements. Anticipates changes in information management technology. Develops and monitors long range information technology and business process plans and policies consistent with strategic objectives. Is responsible for assisting SLT team members with improving business metric trends through process improvement, process design/re-design, and establishment of management methodologies to monitor and control processes, including establishment of operational capacity plans as needed. Approves proposed policy / process improvement initiatives and designs to ensure alignment with standards and business strategy. Allocates appropriate resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other business and related projects. Develops and executes expense reduction and / or service improvement opportunities. Prioritize process improvement opportunities with operations; provide business justification for prioritization..

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent experience required; Masters Degree preferred.
10 years business experience with at least 5 years in management consulting required
Re-engineering / process improvement experience highly preferred
Experience with continuous quality improvement methods and tools (e.g., statistical process control, Six Sigma, etc.)
Ability to direct and oversee business analysts including design and creation of automated management tools/databases
Experience influencing and initiating cultural change, facilitating and enhancing performance within a cross-functional environment
Experience with change management Healthcare/managed care knowledge
