Project Management Leader

CITY: Danbury STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Job Purpose:
Lead the coordination of the Key Vendor Finance projects to be managed through the VF Project Council Process and Assist in the Leadership of the projects as the Compliance Organization is built.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the "Top 40" projects as identified by the VF Senior Leadership Team.
* Coordination with Six Sigma and Project Owners to ensure tollgate rigor is followed and proper sign-off and approval to proceed is obtained.
* Actively participate in weekly VF PIC meeting with Senior Leadership to ensure Tollgates are following project management methodology and provide input on process changes as needed.
* Ownership of Project Council Support Central Site. Ensure updates are properly maintained by project leads and develop weekly agenda for tollgates/updates.
* Help to develop and manage Compliance Op Agenda and resulting projects. Key resource to ensure successful completion of Compliance infrastructure build.
* Interface with Operations/Six Sigma organization on additional project management needs as identified.
- Up to 10% travel required


Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors degree
* Minimum 5 years Ops/Six Sigma/Project Management experience
* Demonstrated Project Management skills, able to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
* Proven ability to effectively interact and communicate with cross functional leadership
* BB and/or Quality trained
* Proficient with PC and software programs


Desired:
Knowledge of Support Central Project Management capabilities
* MS Project
* Able to work independently
* Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
