IntelliDyne-LLC is pleased to announce that we are currently seeking experienced Project Manager for our Professional Services in Falls Church, VA.

 

 

Assist the PMO Practice Director in achieving corporate objectives:

 Manage projects to develop new processes, products, and resources in support of Project Management requirements. Deliver continuous improvement of existing processes and procedures at enterprise and organizational unit levels.Support business development activities of Vertical Program Managers, including proposal developmentDevelopment and delivery of training materials to practice and Vertical Program resources. Manage projects in support of development and promotion of a Project Management methodology based on the PMI knowledge areas. Assist in evaluating maturity levels and promoting continuous improvement of project management practices internal and external to the organization.Identify project management resources and match them to projects Identify and implement enterprise-level project metrics to gauge performance and compliance to the PMO standardsEnsure effective communication and coordination with customers and stakeholders; work effectively at all project team levels to facilitate project implementation and completionRisk assessment activities, including identification, quantification, qualification, and mitigation strategies for projects and programs, together with refinement of processes to support activitiesConduct research to provide continuous improvement opportunities for processes, tools, and resourcesParticipate in audits of project activities, including preparing responses and providing recommendations related to findings.Support CMMI efforts through collaboration with the Quality Practice.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY

 

The Project Manager will provide backup to the PMO Practice Director. S/he will be required to assure day-to-day operations within the practice when the Director is unavailable. S/he will interact regularly with each supported team, to assure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. S/he must exemplify the team-focused culture of the company.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for backup management of 10-15 project managers.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience managing small- to medium-sized IT projects. Bachelors (BS) degree required, Masters (MS) degree desired. Experience should include supporting a new or existing PMO. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a key demonstrator of commitment to project management methodology. Experience with the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution delivered through Microsoft Project Server is key, as is experience with the implementation of process management solutions.

Supplemental Skills:

 Strong background in software development methodology and Information TechnologyBackground in developing and delivering training to IT professionals Strong problem-solving abilityExperience in enterprise project management, or process management software

 

Education & Certifications:

 BS degree in computer science, information technology or related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) certification
