Project Manager/Release Manager
York is currently seeking a Project Manager/Release Manager.
Position: Project Manager/Release Manager
Location: Bloomington, MN (may need to relocate to St Louis, MO after 6-12 months)
Length: 6 month contract to hire
Rate/Salary: Dependant on experience
Required Skills:
5 + years experience in Information Systems
Strong analysis, research and troubleshooting skills
Experience with the code release/implementation process in a mainframe environment. Preferably Point of Sale.
Familiar with mainframe COBOL/DB2 environment.
Ability to create and manage detail project plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with a software development methodology.
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Ability to work with all individuals throughout the IS organization including QA analysts, Developers, Operations analysts, Managers and Directors.
Desired Skills:
Some experience managing IS application development projects
Health Care industry background, especially PBM industry
Experience in large-scale online processing environment
Experience with project management tools
PMI Certification
Technical background in COBOL/CICS/DB2
Familiar with midrange applications
