Project Scheduler

MSD is an employee-owned company of over 600 professionals who support the diverse technical, scientific, and administrative needs of the Federal government. We are currently searching for an experienced Project Scheduler to support one of our clients. This opportunity is permanent, full-time, and on site in Dallas, TX.

 

Daily Duties:

Updating project plans from discussions held with team members
Communicate with PM on a frequent basis regarding project schedule
Team meetings
Meeting notes
Other responsibilites as assigned

 

Required Skills:

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining all project schedules within Microsoft Project. Project tasks must be maintained and reported on a weekly basis. Project tasks are not to exceed 80 hours. Weekly status discussions and updates with team members, Project Manager, and client. Progress reporting using Earned Value is required. Experience in large scale projects with resources exceeding 25 and project count in excess of 4 simultaneous efforts is required.

 

Must Haves:

4 years experience with Microsoft Project
1 year experience using Microsoft Project for Earned Value tracking
Excellent communication skills
Cooperative attitude
Contracting or consulting background a plus
Government experience a plus

4 years degree from an accredited US university
