SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNING ANALYST

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales & Operations Planning Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, planning, forecasting, project management, and development of U.S. generated apparel sales and supply chain data for optimization of Operations, Sales, Marketing, and global infrastructural needs.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct monthly data collection and process data analysis in support of understanding supply chain and sales issues Synchronize timing of data loads, validate data, and reconcile with other modules specifically financial and warehouse inventory records Create and monitor regular Supply Chain forecasts and reports by utilizing computer generated statistical forecasts, sales projections, and other knowledge collected from various business units. Highlight and respond to demand changes and exceptions. Assist in creating supply chain solutions and predictive models for inventory procurement and managing distribution center capacity. Interface with team on short and long-term capacity constraints, and assess impact to Supply & Sales. Seek, analyze and integrate information from all areas of the organization relative to creating an accurate understanding of business and supply chain demands. Monitor accuracy of previous forecasts and take action to improve performance. Assist Management team in the identification, design, and execution of supply chain improvement initiatives Implement improvements to the Sales and Operations planning process. Conduct regular continuous improvement and process efficiency reviews, propose and implement appropriate upgrades. Synthesize sales, marketing and supply chain information for presentations and reportsAttend and contribute to S&OP meetings to present forecast information and track issues.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, logistics, or supply chain; Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Access. PowerPoint and database oriented softwareAbility / willingness to learn new software applicationsDemonstrated ability in project management/project leadership.Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to break a problem into components and identify root causes and drivers; ability to determine best problem solving techniquesExperience in change management and business process reengineering helpful with the ability to accept and manage change; open minded Strong organizational skills, attention to detail without losing site of big picture.Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including report writing and presentation creation to support a case for change based on results of analysisSelf-motivated, self-starter, capable of working within teams and in an autonomous environment; goal oriented with a customer-focused approach; willingness to commit time in driving multiple tasks to completion in intense, fast paced working environment
