Scheduler

KJM & Associates, a national Program and Construction Management firm, is accepting resumes for an experienced Scheduler to work on an airport project in Miami.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The candidate will be responsible for providing scheduling and claims support and will assist in the assessment of current project schedule milestones.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate will be responsible for reviewing and commenting on construction contract baseline schedules developed by the contractors, reviewing and commenting on monthly progress schedules and progress reports submitted by contractors. The candidate will also be responsible for the following:

- Develop narrative & CPM schedule impact analysis for potential and approved contract changes
- Develop and maintain "as built" construction schedules
- Develop "what if" schedule scenarios to support project management; and
- Support the RE and other project staff in contract negotiations

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 5-7 years project controls experience. Minimum three years field experience.

Knowledge of critical path method of scheduling for medium and large infrastructure projects. Ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Primavera 5 for Engineering and Construction (formerly P3e/c), Primavera SureTrak, and Microsoft Office products. Estimating and cost control experience desirable.

Familiarity with claims prevention and analysis techniques strongly recommended. Candidate should be able to conduct constructability reviews for varying construction method/techniques during design or construction.
