Senior Area Manager

Veolia Water North America (VWNA) is currently seeking a Senior Area Manager for the Connecticut & Rhode Island area.

Responsibilities/Duties for this position:?

Manage the business and technical activities of assigned area.?

Responsibilities may include several of the following: accounting, budgeting, installing financial controls, assisting in the assessment of technology and training needs, preparing technical reports and proposal documents, providing technical sales support, ensuring customer and regulatory satisfaction, and evaluating and establishing efficient and effective work processes for location(s) within the assigned area.

?

Experience:

Five to seven years of progressive supervisory and management experience in a related business or technical field.

Specific experience in biosolids processing, drying, incineration and reuse highly advantageous to the position.

Demonstrated leadership ability with an understanding of Human Resources / Relations principals

Knowledge of Safety, Environmental and Facilities/ Capital Equipment Management

Developed strategic and business planning and financial management skills including budget and cost control

Successful record with regional contract negotiations, multi-site interfaces, commercial management of contracts and sustained customer and regulatory satisfaction

Demonstrated skills in problem solving and solutions, team building (motivating all levels of personnel), technical writing and total quality management

Strong PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

?Education and/or Licensing needed for this position: Bachelor?s degree in Business, Engineering or related field or equivalent environmental experience.
