Six Sigma Process Engineer

JOB OPPORTUNITY We are currently recruiting for a Staff Process Engineer position to be located at our Norcross, GA CheckFree location. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Utilize and equip the division with a common approach to solving business process problems through the use of Six Sigma tools and techniques;
Promote a process focused culture in which processes enable the successful achievement of business objectives;
Work in partnership with all impacted functional areas to ensure a successful start-up, execution and completion of process initiatives;
Typically works on projects that are larger in nature and require creative solutions to eliminate gaps;
Projects have fewer parameters defined and indirect supervision is provided;
Operates under general supervision.

This role will provide assistance and be a resource to functional departments and business units in identifying, planning and implementing process related initiatives. Actively lead and provide individual contribution on process improvement efforts, including but not limited to:
Defining the problem and identifying target improvements {utilizing techniques such as voive of customer, data collection, etc}
Investigating and documenting current state
Managing various types of process initiatives
Assisting with financial analysis for business justification
Developing solutions {utilizing best practices, etc.}
Influencing and executing the implementation of solutions {includes overseeing pilot, integrating into business, understanding the culture change implications, etc.}
Facilitating stakeholder communications and approval processes {e.g., tollgates} and
Measuring results and refining solutions

 

Skills Required:
One to three years of previous process improvement experience
Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in process improvement and resultant methodologies
Ability to assess a situation (maturity of the process & the organization, the problem at hand, etc.) and determine the appropriate process tools & techniques to enable business results
Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with introducing change into an organization
Ability to work multiple projects concurrently within established timelines
Completes assignments with indirect supervision. Final review from a Process Engineer-Senior or above may be required on specific projects.
Effectively communicates through written and oral reports to all levels of management, clients and sponsors independently
Extensive experience in meeting planning, facilitation, and public speaking
Good project management skills with proven track record of driving projects to completion with successful business results
Ability to work in a rapidly growing and changing team environment
Ability to understand financial impacts of projects and initiatives

Skills Desired:
Black Belt or Green Belt Six Sigma certification a plus, but not required
Proven leadership skills and business acumen
Works well in a collaborative, team environment
Ability to balance aggressive initiative with professional judgment to accomplish difficult tasks though other people
Ability to build relationships and influence other functional areas
Extensive communication and presentation skills

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor?s degree in related area.
