Sr Advisor - PMO - 19659

We are seeking a Sr Advisor PMO to work at any of our WellPoint locations.  This position is responsible for ensuring  an Enterprise Project Management Methodology and supporting tools are selected and configured based on current and future enterprise needs.  The position advises management on a variety of technology related matters.The incumbent will stay informed of customer, company and constituent business climates, including issues, interests and concerns.  Monitors relevant trends and activities in the healthcare industry and is a seasoned project management professional. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Participates planning and support for in infrastructure, security, migration, policies, standards, training and operations. Participates in enterprise planning, including vendor assessment, technology selection, product acquisition, prioritization, system integration and service delivery. Advises executive management in a variety of technology related matters. Stays informed of customer, company and constituent business climates, including issues, interests and concerns. Researches and monitors relevant trends and activities in healthcare, advancements in technology, business, legal and regulatory environments and the competition. Performs other duties as assigned

BS required. Masters Degree preferred. Multiple trade certifications or other continuing education preferred. 8-10 years of broad based Information Systems experience required. Formal project management experience is desirable. Experience in multiple technical and business disciplines preferred. Must have a strong financial orientation with experience in project cost management and understanding of general accounting practices around amortization and capitalization project expenses.  The ability to interface with technical and business resources is also required. Requires a broad-based experience in planning and designing highly complex systems with a financial background.  Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills and skilled at delivering quality customer service skills to internal and external customers, business partners and others.  Excellent written & verbal communications skills including ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and assorted technical documentation.  Also, requires the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to various audiences at various levels throughout the organization.  Must be able to sell ideas and obtain approval. .
