We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager of Project Management to join our team.

 

Responsibilities:

? Lead and manage enterprise initiatives of moderate size and/or complexity. We have seven types of initiatives:  New Product/Service, Product/Service Enhancements, Service Delivery Change, Compliance/Regulatory, Internal Efficiency/Improvement, Infrastructure, or Hybrid (Combination of above)

?Lead and manage one of the supporting project management processes including (but not necessarily limited to):  UAT management & coordination, Resource management, Project tools and methods, Procurement management, or Project management training

?Manage and direct core program management office activities. Examples of these activities include: status communication & reporting, performance tracking and analysis, issue and risk identification and resolution & risk mitigation, project evaluation, best practice research, and methodology development.

?Perform projects activities such as planning, scheduling, estimating, status communication, issue resolution, meeting facilitation, vendor management, etc. on assigned projects to ensure proper project management and to help ensure that projects meet identified business objectives and are completed in a well controlled manner in compliance with department and company standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

?Work closely with other departments to provide project/program management advice and to assist with project management activities.

?Coach / mentor / train other project managers on program/project management approaches, processes, methods, and tools.

?Ensure that the program / project adheres to company safeguards and regulatory standards by meeting with Legal, Compliance, and Information Security.  Perform regular project audits on project processes and documentation.

?Provide performance feedback for project team members.

 

 

 Requirements:

?  Ideal candidate possesses 8-10 years of experience, with the last 6 years working in the program management or project management discipline.

?  Bachelors Degree, preferably in a technical or business field.

?  Specialization in a project management is preferred.  Advance degree(s) preferred.

?  Project management certification preferred.

?  5 years previous experience in financial services operations or other equivalent operational area is preferred.  Ideally possesses a working knowledge of student loan industry.

?  Demonstrated experience in independently leading small to moderate projects and knowledge of project management processes.

?  Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and programs of varying size and complexity.

?  Experienced in developing and managing project plans, schedules and budgets.

?  Demonstrated ability to work within given timelines for designated projects.

?  Ability to work independently to create, develop, improve, maintain, and enforce program/project management standards.

?  Experience working in and/or directing the activities of a Program Management Office (PMO).

?  Previous experience with MS Office, Project Management software and Visio. Experience with enterprise project management solutions, such as Niku?s Clarity, is a big plus.

?  Strong facilitation skills required. Job requires making presentations, designing and running meetings, and preparing various written communications and reports.
