Sr Mgr-Business Development

This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to lead innovative new capabilities through the end-to-end new product development process, including idea conception and definition, business case development, project planning, technical development, and product rollout. This role requires thought leadership and a deep small business customer focus, with the abiltiy to translate needs/market information into class-leading products and capabilities. The manager will partner with OPEN Marketing, Finance, Risk, Technologies and Operations to define, design, and develop new capabilities, cards and services that support an optimal Cardmember experience and are aligned with OPEN's strategic objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, driving the growth of net new accounts and discount billed business. In managing these efforts, the manager must balance the needs of our small business customers and strategic partners with internal business drivers, including cost and time-to-market.

Successful candidates should have at least 2-3 years of business experience, with a focus on financial services preferred. In addition, this candidate must demonstrate:

Expertise in managing large, complex, cross-functional project teams with a proven track record of driving results
Ability to build relationships with peers, leaders and customers, and influence without direct authority
Strategic and innovative thinking with a deep small business customer mindset/focus
Previous product marketing and/or product development experience
High comfort level working with Technologies
Solid analytical skills with a knack for identifying solutions to problems
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Understanding of the needs and challenges of our small business customers and strategic partners
MBA preferred
