Sr. Project Manager

Duties:

Under broad supervision, manages construction projects within assigned region for state owned facilities as directed by the Director of Construction Services.  Coordinates with all relevant construction stakeholders on all phases of the construction process.  Provides proactive leadership to ensure construction projects are completed according to contract documents, and within budget. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, AND a minimum of six (6) years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and/or Quality Assurance Manager.  Must have valid driver?s license and the ability to travel statewide.

Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills; excellent customer service, problem resolution, and organizational skills; ability to effectively interact with highly skilled professionals; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; must demonstrate leadership and take initiative; must be capable of reading and interpreting contracts and architectural drawings and have experience working with Microsoft Office Suites and Project Management Software; must be self directed and time-line driven. Must have experience working with the various construction delivery systems and a working knowledge of construction best practices and accounting principles.
