Buyer/Planner
Job Description: Summary The Buyer/Planner will work with Forecasting, New Title Project Management, Strategic Sourcing and Customer Service to lead and leverage the best procurement and inventory management practices within an SAP environment while operating with the least amount of inventory and pursuing cost reductions and other value adding supply chain programs.Ultimately responsible for inventory and obsolete reserves for the assigned commodities and their related supplier’s performance including cost/AP, quality, on time delivery and other key commodity performance metrics in concert with Global Supply Chain strategies. 60% of this position will involve procurement, cost/AP, inventory management and customer service20% involves Business Analysis and Cost Reduction efforts20% involves Research and Reporting
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Position requires a BS in Engineering or Business
3 to 5 years experience in Inventory, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement
Ability to work autonomously 85% of the time
Experience in the Publishing industry is a plusProficient with Microsoft Office suite of products, SAP R/3 and/or SAP APO SNP
