COPYEDITOR

EEI Communications is seeking a full-time direct hire copyeditor for a prestigious international medical association with a praiseworthy cause. This client is committed to advancing the education of medical professionals and is located near the King Street metro in Alexandria VA.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining consistent quality, accuracy, and style standards. Collaborating with physician authors for fact checking and manuscript reviews.Meeting aggressive publication schedules. Effectively managing time and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Communicating clearly both verbally and in writing. Working effectively in a team. 

 

Key qualifications include: Bachelor?s degree in English preferred. Client will consider a degree in a communications or science discipline.3+ years of experience in copyediting.  Familiarity with electronic copyediting, preferably in MS Word. 

 

Experience in the following areas a plus:Experience with editorial and production responsibilities.  Experience in medical publishing and knowledge of medical terminology.Experience working for an association.
