Client Editors have four primary responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring assigned clients are very satisfied with StayWell Custom?s content, editorial expertise and services, flexibility, and production processes.
Fact-checking and proofreading both StayWell original content and client-supplied content, ensuring 100% accuracy.
Creating bibliographies and updating existing bibs as needed.
Facilitating custom client writing requests.

 Job Duties

 1. Client Products
Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with clients? editorial counterparts.
Work with clients and the entire client team to plan and develop compelling, accurate publications that support their named objectives.
Edit content to conform to client and StayWell Custom Communications? style guidelines and ensure effectiveness.
Work with graphic designer to ensure error free layout that meets client expectations. Includes making broad recommendations about article placement, facilitating cuts and adds, etc.
Ensure strict adherence to agreed-upon schedules and commitments to clients.
Manage client reviews and approvals.
Participate in StayWell Custom?s User?s Group Seminar and other client meetings/functions as needed.
Stay abreast of health research and reporting, health care industry trends, marketing issues, etc., and use this and other information in order to continually improve upon the knowledge and expertise offered to clients.

 

2. Fact-checking and Proofreading
Fact-check original content, ensuring that every fact, number, and statement is backed by a StayWell Custom approved source.
Proofread content and bibliographies, ensuring adherence to StayWell Custom style and quality guidelines and client-specific style guidelines, as appropriate.

 

3. Create Bibliographies
Edit all bibliographies, ensuring adherence to StayWell bib style guidelines. 

 

4. Facilitate Custom Writing Requests
Draft writing assignments.
Assign custom article to appropriate contract writers.
Manage day-to-day communications regarding interviewee feedback, availability, etc.
Manage schedules.
Edit content to ensure it supports client?s objectives for the articles. Edit for content, style, language, readability.

 Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree required
Excellent, demonstrable language and communication skills
Minimum 3 years professional editorial experience
Fact-checking experience a plus
Client services experience/orientation
Basic marketing knowledge a plus
InCopy experience a plus.
Innovative thinker capable of working both independently and as an integral part of a team
