Thomson Tax and Accounting, a Thomson Business is currently seeking a Contracts Manager to work in our New York City, NY office.

 

Responsibilities are as follows:

 Works with R&G SVP, Content Operations and R&G VP, Finance on third party contracts Keeps contracts deadlines and renewals Keeps tracking of topping clauses and other nonconforming clauses Works with Thomson Legal and TGR Manages RIA contracts Manages WG&L contracts. Manages PPC contracts. Participates in contract negotiations. Manages royalties in conjunction with Content Operations. Manages royalty allocations in conjunction with Product Management. Manages author acquisitions in conjunction with Content Operations and Product Management .Maintains EULA and similar agreements as well as amendments due to sales issues.


Qualifications

 

Effective communication skills are a required core competency, as the position requires gathering and disseminating information to and from a vast array of resources, departments, customers, competitors, publications, the media, etc.

 Prior experience working with Contracts. JD is highly preferred.  Prior experience in publishing or information industry is desired. Understanding of professional online publishing including electronic product development, product management, and online marketing and sales. Experience in accounting and/or tax is a plus.
