Description
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)- http://www.aicpa.org is in the process of relocating a substantial portion of its business to Durham, NC. Join us in our new facility as the Desktop Operator?Composition Services on our Production Services Team, and help us grow.

Responsibilities
Execute the formatting of final Word files into appropriate templates for a job's specified print layout;
Format xml files for high page count, highly technical material;
Repurpose previously archived files into html or other specified formats for online delivery;
Create post-script files, according to printer-supplied specs, that printers will be able to rip and produce finished product from in a timely manner (error free and without delays);
Maintain daily time logs; meet minimum output performance measurements established by team leader;
Assure that completed jobs do not leave your workstation without sign-off on routing log or pre-flight record that lists all applications, fonts, and images used to create the PDF printmaster file for the printer;
Assist in Composition Services Team's quality assurance efforts by performing proofreading and page layout checks as needed on jobs completed by peers.

Requirements
Bachelor?s degree graphic arts or computer sciences/IT;
2-4 years minimum experience in creating post-script files for varied formats utilizing the latest software, included, but not limited to, Quark 6.5, Adobe Professional Suite 7.0, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, FrontPage, and Conversion Plus (all are Windows, not MAC based);
2 years minimum experience in formatting xml files into composition system such as XPP (including knowledge of applying styles, creating Tables of Contents, and making decisions on managing page breaks for loose-leaf publications);
Deadline and detailed oriented and work well under pressure;
Experience in newsletter, magazine, and book formatting;
Loose-leaf publishing experience a plus;
Knowledge experience in 4-color print process preferred;
Experience formatting xml files a plus;
Willing to work overtime, when necessary, to meet deadlines.
