Digital Print Helper - 2nd Shift

Our manufacturing organization is comprised of 850 individuals working in the Ares of Manufacturing Client Services, Prepress and Digital Print, Press, Bindery, Engineering and Supply Chain Management. Our facility is approximately 1.2 million square feet and generates about $700 million dollars in print annually. 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

 

Responsibilities:
Accurately assembles, binds, and packages documents, ensuring on time delivery in accordance with order specifications.Carefully reads over for assembly specifications and delivery instructions. Manually sorts, collates, and binds reports using GBC binding equipment.Examines publications to ensure quality and find defects such as imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn, folded, loose, uneven pages or other quality issues.

Responsible for the reporting and appropriate delivery of units.  Marks all packages correctly.

Work with co-workers effectively through teamwork, support and encouragement.

Provide timely and complete interdepartmental customer service and communication (including shift-to-shift communication.)

Observe department and company safety regulations with special emphasis on using appropriate personal protective equipment, using lifts where available.



Note: Hours of the position are 1:00-9:00pm.





 












QualificationsH.S. Diploma or GED required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.   Basic computer skills preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as load tags, job specs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure - using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Also must be able to accurately measure product, read displays on equipment and use appropriate tables to convert data as needed.
