Director, Market Research

We are currently looking for a Director of Market Research to head up our qualitative and quantitative research teams.  To be considered for this position please apply today. This position's overall responsibility is to lead market research projects.  Most important function will be to develop and execute primary and secondary market research strategies to support business objectives. This person will interface with clients, develop the short and long-term market research strategies, and execute all aspects of qualitative and quantitative market research projects. This person will create a new vision for the Market Research Department and be the driver for objectivity and data-driven solutions. Candidates must possess clear leadership and communication skills to enable integration of results into strategic decision-making across the organization.  Responsibilities:
Foster a team-oriented environment. This role requires inspirational leadership to motivate staff into a cohesive team operating with common goals
Understand organizational goals and incorporate those goals into departmental objectives.
Communicate and leverage market research insights in a way that influences business strategies
Oversee the development of all the research plans and research design, ensuring alignment with business strategies and needs
Create 'best practice' standards for the market research group, resulting in more efficient delivery of business objectives
Establish the supplier/vendor relationships for validation of research tools and data, ensuring selection of partnerships based on best service, support, analysis, economy and data quality
Manage and monitor department budget
Assess the effectiveness of research methodologies and vendors

Job Requirements:

BS/BA, MBA preferred
5+ years in a managerial position within market research
Experience managing a complete Research organization, including people development, management of suppliers/vendors and negotiation of large scale contracts
Experience in online and offline research methodologies
Ability to design and manage research projects 
Demonstrated market research planning skills 
Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze statistical data and project trends
Strong presentation and written communication skills
