Manage the editorial operations and staff, and develop the editorial strategy of one of the most respected and long-standing technical publications in the industry ? The American Ceramic Society Bulletin.  This publication serves the engineering, manufacturing and academic disciplines focused on advanced ceramic technologies.  The Bulletin is the magazine of record for The American Ceramic Society, the leading society of its kind in the world.

 

The Bulletin has recently undergone an exciting transformation, with a complete graphic re-design, and re-invigoration of its editorial product.  The new Editor will continue these efforts with support from the Group Publisher and staff.  The position is headquartered in Columbus (Westerville) Ohio.

 

To qualify, candidates must possess 10+ years of writing and/or editorial experience, at least 5 in a management position.  Strong writing and communication skills are a must.  B.S. or advanced degree, with preference for a concentration in ceramics and/or materials science.  An understanding and appreciation of the role that ceramics and other materials play in the research, engineering and manufacturing of a wide variety of applications involving advanced composites.  Experience with online webzines and newsletters are a plus.
