FULL-TIME Production Assistant POSITION

 

To: Editorial Production Assistants with 2+ years related experience

From: Technology Business Research (TBR)

The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience and responsibility in the high-tech research and publishing field.  You will handle the production cycle of more than 133 reports a quarter and work with a team of editors to enable the fast delivery of reports.  Additionally, you will aid in proofreading reports to ensure that TBR reports meet quality, timeliness and accuracy goals.  This role provides the opportunity to work with TBR management, editors, consultants and analysts.

 

Position: Full-time Production Assistant

 

Description: The Production Assistant is responsible for the quarterly production of TBR reports.  Responsibilities will include the management of specific reports from the production/formatting of the blank template/shell at the beginning of the quarter to the completion of the report template (including graphs, scoring, etc.).  The Production Assistant will also compile, format and maintain benchmark reports.  The Editor will assign specific reports and duties to be completed. 

 

Specific responsibilities also include:

l  Assist in layout and design issues

l  Production of reports (at least 133 reports per quarter ? more than 3,000 pages ? creation of templates, standardization of layout (including graphs and tables).  Includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint

l  Design of templates for special projects and/or inquiries

l  Format Customer Satisfaction reports as needed

l  Creation and maintenance of benchmark reports

l  Aid in proofreading reports

l  Aid in updating publishing schedule on the Web site

l  Convert reports to PDF as needed

l  Post reports to Web site as needed

l  Perform additional editorial/production duties as assigned

Qualifications: 2 plus years of layout/design experience BA in English or Art; degree in graphic design; or comparable experienceStrong proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPointFamiliarity with Quark and/or InDesignProofreading skillsFamiliarity with IT and business terminology a plusDetail-orientedDeadline-orientedStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated

 

Salary: Commensurate with experience.  Eligibility for bonus and profit sharing.
