Electronic Content Production Supervisor

The Electronic Content Production Supervisor is responsible for effectively leading a team of production staff in the maintenance and development of CCHIS' electronic insurance regulatory compliance products and services; and for providing customer support on electronic products. Major goals include meeting production deadlines and producing high quality work output for electronic products. This position is ultimately responsible for the quality and timeliness of electronic regulatory content for CCHIS to meet or exceed product specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

o Understands and continuously monitors workflow and workload for multiple production systems.
o Manages production resource allocation for all assigned products.
o Schedules work effectively for team in anticipation of cyclical volume of legislative activity to maximize operating efficiencies and meet all labor and production statistics and goals.
o Implements systems to ensure high level of work quality output.
o Implements systems to ensure that customer inquiries are responded to in a timely and accurate manner.
o Provides input to management on capacity and techniques available to support special projects and new product development.
o Trains staff or oversees training of staff on electronic editing techniques for regulatory database content and electronic forms in a variety of formats.
o Performs reporting tasks of a complex nature.
o Meet all budget expectations and manage costs of the department.
o Hire, train and supervise employees.
o Monitor performance for continuous improvement.
o Extensive knowledge of workflows, Epic Editor, Documentum, the XML schema, web-based production systems and related formats.
o Ensure the development of personnel using good performance feedback, measurement tools, training and support.

Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 4 years of work experience in content editing or a closely related field
o Minimum 2 years experience in management or staff supervision
o Must have strong practice systems development skills and broad computer systems and applications knowledge
o Must be analytical
o Must have strong organizational skills
o Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
o Must be able to work in a team environment
o Proficiency with Word and Excel computer programs, as well as internet knowledge.
o Must be flexible and responsive to change
o Must have understanding of markets and customer needs
o Strong leadership skills

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications:

o Ability to travel on a limited basis.
o Six Sigma background desirable.
