Engineering Reporter

We have an opening in our Langhorne, PA office for an Engineering Reporter who will report on civil engineering public bids within CDC project cost estimate guidelines.  Projects will be covered from bid notice through bid receipt/ award.  Individual will report on planned construction projects that meet CDC cost estimate guidelines.   - This position requires calling (faxing and/or emailing) contacts to obtain bidder and plan holders' information, get bid results, and additional project information.- Engineering Reporters enter project information from legal ads and then follow up to obtain value added information, including street location, cost estimate, pre-bid meetings, bond information, consulting engineers, contact name and telephone number, project details.  - Obtains a bidders or planholders list to reflect those interested in the project.- Continues to build this list for each press deadline until bids are due.  - Follows up within 24 hours of bid due date to obtain bid results.  - Follows planning projects of $5,000,000 or more until a bid due date is established.



 

Professional work ethic, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed to be successful in this position.  This position requires good written and verbal communication skills.  This position also requires a High School diploma or GED and/or combination of education and relevant experience; a Bachelor?s Degree is preferred.
