Executive Editor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join this respected publisher of books and other training materials for pre-K through 12 educators and administrators as Executive Editor.  In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and building the company?s existing list, including the acquisition of new titles.  You will work closely with development, production, and marketing to ensure the overall success of the company?s products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor?s degree (master?s preferred) and 5 to 8 years acquisitions and supervisory experience in publishing for the education market.  Candidates must have an understanding of the peer review process in professional publishing and extensive knowledge of educational trends and publishing, including the acquisitions, editorial, and production processes.
