Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant 2486

Description:   The incumbent will be responsible for financial analysis of material and manufacturing cost, expense/work center/labor forecast and statistical reporting, including financial performance, cost variance explanations and cost analysis. 

 

Responsibilities:
Assist in formulation, preparation, generation and analysis of item costs.
Produces weekly factory efficiency reporting.
Works to reconcile loss reporting system with Fourth Shift.
Provides financial analysis to; buyers to better manage all aspects of material procurement, account managers and/or estimators to better manage job cost estimates and pricing and Factory Management to understand material and factory cost variances to standard.
Audits sales invoices to ensure we bill for everything that we can (per the estimate)
Works on providing feedback to Estimating on actual profitability vs. that estimated.
Ensures customer profitability reports issued on time and reviewed with all senior management.
Prepares profitability review on all low margin accounts.
Makes recommendations for process improvements.
Develop alternative techniques for gathering a variety of data that is not available from established sources.
Assists manager on annual reviews of routing and martching output standards.
Assist manager in preparing capital investment proposals and once approved conducts post implementation.

 

Requirements:
Four year degree from an accredited college or university
2-4 years experience or training.
Previous printing experience required.

 

Compensation: 

$45,000 ? 60,000 based on experience.
