Help Northwinds Publishing be a leader in the Publishing and Advertising industry by acting as the Sr. Graphic Designer who produces designs; enhances design team accomplishments and competence; plans design assignment; plans design concept; develops design; illustrates design; obtains approval of design; prepares finished design; ensures operation of equipment; updates job knowledge; accomplishes organization goals.

Qualifications

Experience establishing industry-recognized style and method standards for creative products.

Designs documents such as newsletters, brochures, advertisements, books, and Web pages using desktop publishing techniques.

Expert knowledge of desktop publishing tools such as FrameMaker, Acrobat Exchange, QuarkExpress, or PageMaker.

Extensive design experience with graphic design, including knowledge of iconography, typography, and color theory.

Expert using illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Visio, PaintShopPro, or CorelDRAW.

Skilled at analyzing complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical, and effective solutions.

Can manipulate light level, shutter speed, aperture, and depth of field to capture dramatic or dynamic photos.

Sets aggressive goals and inspires team members to achieve beyond their own expectations.

Proficient developing commercial quality content and combining images with sound, video, text, and special effects with multimedia software such as RealVideo, PowerPoint, Director, and Flash.

Understanding of Web-bound graphics manipulation and optimization issues.

BA/BS or equivalent experience.
