Graphics/Editorial Assistant

 

HealthCore, Inc., a health outcomes and clinical research firm located in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Graphics/Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic, rapidly-growing company.  Founded in 1996, and now an independently-operating subsidiary of WellPoint, HealthCore provides the health care system and the biopharmaceutical industry with naturalistic "real-life" data on the value of various interventions in diverse patient populations. HealthCore’s projects range from traditional claims-based retrospective analyses to large-scale, prospective studies.

 

Responsibilities:Graphic design and layout of tables and figures generated from raw statistical data for poster, slides set, and manuscript productionWork with our existing templates and corporate look to generate scientific poster templates Edit proposals, reports, and other communication materials for grammar, syntax, and formatAssist with abstract and online publication submissionsMaintenance of in-house reference materialsPerform administrative assistance to the outcomes research team members as needed (e.g., literature search/retrieval, error checking).

 



Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with previous graphic design experience (minimum 1 year). Medical editing experience is a plus. Individuals must be proficient on PC-based systems with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software.

 

Individuals must have a strong design sense, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines. They must also have strong written communication skills and understand the importance of error checking. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting organization. Experience with medical terminology or in a medical education company or research environment is a plus.  Time allocation for responsibilities is 50% graphics and 50% editorial.
