Junior Technical Writer (Labeling Production Associate)

The Crimson Life Sciences division specializes in labeling translation and multilingual production services for medical device and IVD companies. Our processes are risk management based and are designed to help companies comply with international standards and regulatory requirements.

Currently, we have an opening for a Junior Technical Writer (Labeling Production Associate) in our Boston/Brighton office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years technical writing experience in a medical device related environment, thorough understanding of labeling and IFU development, and working knowledge of medical device regulatory guidelines.

Knowledge of a major European language as well as desktop publishing applications is required. Familiarity with language translation processes and tools is a definite plus. Stringent attention to detail and outstanding communications skills are a must.

The Junior Technical Writer (Labeling Production Associate) is part of a diverse team of Project Managers, Technical Writers, and Graphic Designers and will be partly responsible for the following production activities in the multilingual labeling and IFU development cycle:
? Develop/Edit/Maintain user documentation (in QuarkXpress, FrameMaker, or InDesign)
? Coordinate document reviews to obtain feedback on technical accuracy and usability of documentation
? Coordinate language translation and quality assurance

This is a hands-on production role that includes aspects of Project Management, Technical Writing, and DTP. The position would be an ideal opportunity for a Jr. level Technical Writer or Information Designer who wants to gain Project Management experience.
