Marketing Associate- Books

SAGE Publications, a privately owned, multi-national leading academic and professional publisher of books, journals, and electronic media, located in Thousand Oaks, California, with offices in London and India, is currently seeking a Marketing Associate. The role of the Marketing Associate is to implement marketing programs developed by the Marketing managers within specified budget and on time. The position requires 1+ years marketing or other relevant job experience. This job requires the ability to prioritize between multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:

Implement requested aspects of marketing programs developed by Marketing Managers. Execute e-mail blast campaigns as directed by the Marketing Manager. Prepare production files for direct mail materials. Master and utilize all books marketing databases. Place space advertising in both in-house and external publications as assigned. Write, edit, or freelance copy as needed. Attend 2-3 professional conferences per year. Work closely with freelance copy writers and designers to manage assigned project.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2+ years marketing or related job experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Superior planning and organizational skills.
