Marketing Manager

An innovative worldwide publisher in Mahwah, NJ has an outstanding direct hire opportunity for a sharp Marketing Manager with a background in publishing. We are looking for a highly organized individual to manage the planning, development and implementation of a textbook marketing program. This self-motivated individual will work with an editorial team to designate texts and identify markets.

Responsibilities:
Develop e-marketing campaigns and course database systems
Manage annual textbook marketing budget
Prepare, budget, and execute individual marketing plans for textbooks
Conduct surveys and coordinate efforts to compile and integrate new data
Develop sales pages for textbook direct mail promotions, back cover copy, e-marketing and field sales
Develop textbook brochure and catalog designs
Write market appropriate copy for promotions
Visit key universities to gain an understanding of the needs at the undergraduate and graduate level
Schedule and launch textbook e-mail campaigns and publication schedules
Track competition's publishing programs, pricing, policies, and marketing efforts

Education & Skills:
College Degree required
5+ years marketing management experience preferably within the publishing or educational textbook industries
Experience with e-marketing campaigns
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Proficiency withMS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel
