Medical Copyeditor

Duties



 

The copyeditor's responsibilities include: editing and formatting professional medical guidelines and guideline-related documents from rough draft to final form for both online and print versions; proofreading guidelines and other guideline-related documents; working with the copyediting team to develop and maintain in-house style guide; coordinating outside reviewer feedback; and coordinating with both information technology staff and production staff on production issues.

 

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and oral, and strong copyediting experience. Familiarity with medical copyediting is preferred but not required.

 

Qualifications

 Undergraduate degree in English or related field  Minimum 2 years related full-time work experience, or related master?s degree Familiarity with medical terminology and the AMA style guide  Familiarity with xml publishing tools
