News Editor

Access Intelligence, a growing, dynamic business-to-business publisher has an immediate opening for a News Editor serving the satellite and telecommunications industry. The candidate will be responsible for covering key business developments surrounding the broadcasting and communications markets and relaying that information through our online publications.

This newly created position will execute translating the voice, mission and business developments of this industry into compelling commentary by writing, editing and developing online content. The News Editor will have primary responsibility for website content development, including daily news/photo postings, weekly and monthly feature articles and industry e-newsletters. The News Editor will work with original and third-party content.

Thus, our ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of reporting a news story and has fresh ideas for presenting information digitally. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who has a nose for investigative journalism, is able to interview CEOs from some of the leading Fortune 500 companies, possesses business news writing experience and has a desire to become a leading journalist within this dynamic market place.

A bachelors degree in Journalism, strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, and the ability to learn quickly would all be considered prime assets. The position would suit someone looking to grow their career, become a part of an integrated editorial team,  and has 1-4 years of daily and/or weekly journalism experience both in print and on the Web. Some travel required.
