Print/Web Communications Writer/Editor

As part of out efforts to develop actionable innovation insight for DaimlerChrysler senior management, we seek a person to support our print, web, and interpersonal communication efforts. The position will be part-time, about 20 hours per week. There is some flexibility in the day-to-day schedule. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

-Strong English language proficiency, in particular clear writing and sound copy editing skills suitable for technology descriptions and strategy recommendations including sensitivity to tone.

-Competence with publishing and design software including Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design, Acrobat, Photoshop), Microsoft Word, and a willingness to learn and develop new techniques.

-Familiarity with web portal communications tools including HTML and PHP and a willingness to learn new tools.

-Organizational skills and willingness to help schedule meetings and teleconferences.

-Ability to use web and print sources to gather information, e.g. fact checking.
