Brown Printing Company is a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, a large media conglomerate with extensive holdings in the U.S., including Random House, Doubleday book publishers, RCA, BMG and Arista recording labels. 

 

We are the fourth largest publication printer in the country, printing over 500 magazine titles for more than 380 clients.  We employ 2600 people in large volume, high technology, union-free facilities located in East Greenville, PA, Woodstock, IL, and Waseca, MN. With annual sales of about $375 million, Brown Printing prints such titles as Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Parent, Family Circle, Essence, Real Simple, and the New England Journal of Medicine. 

 

The Waseca, MN Division, located approximately one hour south of the Twin Cities metro area, is currently seeking an experienced and technically savvy Customer Service Account Representative.  The Account Representative is the single-point-of-contact for both the internal and external customer by serving as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturing and technical staff to meet and/or exceed customer needs and expectations.

 

He/She is also responsible for making judgments and discretionary decisions that affect the operations of the organization and effectively communicates those judgments and decisions to the customer. This person will appropriately communicate customer requirements to the manufacturing team, in accordance with company policies and procedures. 



 

Qualifications:

? 4-year degree, or equivalent work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the printing industry

 

? Strong computer skills, including above average skills using  MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with the proven ability to learn and master new technologies and computer programs

 

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to project a professional image of the company

 

?  Extensive knowledge of the offset printing and binding process and digital technology, including advanced knowledge of the 4/C printing process is preferred

 

? Demonstrated ability to interact cooperatively, courteously, and professionally with customers and co-workers

 

? Willingness to work flexible hours (travel, take calls at home, press OK?s, etc.)

 

? Possession of  a valid driver?s license

 

? Strong organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently manage time and multi-task

 

? Ability to analyze production information and evaluate the impact on the Company as well as customer satisfaction

 

? Ability to work under pressure, handle stress, establish priorities and work independently without direct supervision

 

? Strong analytical skills, and ability to manage and maintain precise details

 

? Ability to work overtime as needed

 

? Excellent attendance and work history

 

?  Ability to work efficiently and accurately with numbers and details  (holds an understanding of fractions and decimals)
