Project Specialist


The job -

Provides advanced copywriting and editing for print and electronic publication in newsletters (industry/trade, corporate and employee), industry specific publications and marketing/sales collateral. Designs and produces copy layouts for visual communications including, but not limited to, marketing/sales collateral, newsletters, advertisement, internal and external branding initiatives. Serves as project coordinator and lead contact within MarCom department serving "internal clients" to ensure projects are delivered on time, in scope and exceed expectations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?  Researches, writes and edits articles, reports, editorials, reviews and other material as assigned by manager

?  Prepares graphic layouts for print and electronic materials for manager or internal clients; presents samples to manager or internal client for selection and approval

?  Creates finished layout, or prepares instructions for co-workers who assemble and prepare final layouts

?  Prepares final layout for printer on paper or electronic storage

?  Prioritizes, tracks, handles and maintains records of the elements, cost and time schedules of multiple MarCom department projects

?  Plans and coordinates industry events, tradeshows and all related activities

?  Assists manager with MarCom planning including preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly MarCom plans

Qualifications ?

 Successful candidate must have 3-5 years? marketing communications experience. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.Must have proven writing skills and basic graphic design ability.Must be proficient in MS Office. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, MS Project, Quark or Dreamweaver preferred. Basic HTML knowledge a plus. Writing samples and/or portfolio required.
