Publications and Presentations Coordinator (Spanish or Portuguese, in addition to English)

Position Available: Publications and Presentations Coordinator

 

CERA is currently seeking a hands-on Publications and Presentations Coordinator to join the content management team which supports the research publication process. Works directly with authors and consultants, editors, graphic artists, and desktop publishers to coordinate the production of reports and presentations, for print, electronic, and web distribution. This is a great opportunity for candidates with exposure to and interest in publishing.

 

Key responsibilities:

?  Project management of publications cycle from submission by author through intermediate steps of copyediting, proofreading, graphics creation, layout, final editing, and Web posting, electronic distribution, printing, and archiving

?  Prepare text for proofreading and editing

?  Formatting

?  Project tracking

?  Quality control

?  Meeting publications deadlines

?  Management of Web-based conference calls

?  Producing presentations using PowerPoint from content developed by presenters

 

Qualifications:

?  B.A. in English or other Liberal Arts major

?  Proofreading and editing skills

?  Eye for detail

?  One year of experience or internship in a publications environment

?  Firm grasp of English grammar and spelling

?  Excellent organizational skills

?  Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications

?  Team player who is self-motivated and self-directed

?  Customer service orientation

?  Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and aggressive deadlines

?  Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills

?  Prefer familiarity with Acrobat, MS Office Live Meeting, PageMaker or InDesign, and Freehand

?  Prefer fluency in oral and written Spanish and/or Portuguese
