This position is working in the Pearson Prentice Hall Secondary Education division. The Production Specialist II is responsible for the prepress and manufacturing of multiple assigned projects. Within the product development process, responsibilities will include the development and management of project schedules, title cost estimates, and monthly forecasts to ensure adherence to established budgets; analyze project needs and contribute to the development and implementation of procedures that will ensure the cost effective production of high quality products; assigning prepress, printing and binding services from the corporate contract lists; negotiating and purchasing other related services and materials, organizing, scheduling and monitoring all work flow to ensure predetermined bound book dates are achieved.

Required Experience:

' Two years of book production experience
' Knowledge of composition, prepress, printing equipment and procedures, and Macintosh computers.
' Ability to be a creative problem solver
' Innovative and eager to explore new methods and technologies
' Demonstrated organizational and communications skills

EDUCATION: College degree or equivalent work experience in book production or manufacturing.
