The Reporter data management staff is responsible for the update of analytical and material for the United States Tax Reporter and the new SOX Reporter online product, production and maintenance of Federal Tax Rulings, SOX cases and updates to the PCAOB source material database.

 

This position would be responsible for checking Federal and SOX cites for accuracy and the maintenance of the master databases for USTR and SOX editorial material, SOX  cases, Federal Tax Rulings and PCAOB and additional source material for all media. Other responsibilities include running scheduled extracts for Westlaw and CDROM, quality check of all our products on Checkpoint, accurate processing of looseleaf tasks for the print products, closing of the looseleaf supplements and special projects as they arise.

 

Job Description:

 Maintaining database content and coding accurately for Checkpoint, CDROM and print, including tagging, verification of cites and additional of parallel cites Checking and improving accuracy of Checkpoint linking Checkpoint quality checking and testing  Accurate and timely closing of print supplements Completing extract procedures Daily running of procedures and processing of looseleaf content and supplements Assists in ensuring data is properly tagged allowing proper linking and presentation in electronic products and ensuring proper presentation of material in print products. Determines and verifies SGML tagging according to DTD specifications. Understands and resolves parsing and composition errors. Reads, organizes, compiles and updates citation information. Assists in maintaining the integrity and completeness master and product databases for editorial and primary source materials

Qualifications

 

Must be computer literate, possess strong organizational skills and great attention to details. College-level grammar and accurate punctuation skills a must. Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
