Research Coordinator

Research Coordinator   SUMMARY Support the Senior Information Management Coordinator (Or Senior Information Analyst or Regional Director of Information Management) by managing the Information Management operations at the assigned site; assist in the hiring, training and supervision of Information Management Researchers; Monitor data quality and information management processes and assist in training local management staff and professionals in the use of information management resources.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement research processes to assure data quality in accordance with corporate standards.

 

Verify analytical reports relating to market conditions such as vacancy, inventory base, absorption, and sale and leasing activity.

 

Collect and input data to local and corporate databases as required by company standards.

 

Provide reports from corporate databases in support of management and marketing activities of professionals.

 

Assist in the evaluation, negotiation and implementation of contracts for the acquisition of third party information.

 

Assist in training management staff and professionals in the application and use of information resources.

 

Maintain information resources libraries in accordance with corporate standards.

 

Provide activity and status reports to the Senior Research Coordinator as required.

 

Provide statistical and analytical reports as required in support of management and professionals.

 

As requested by local management, act as point of contact for local or regional media regarding market activity.

 

Promote research capabilities to local and regional management personnel and professionals.

 

Maintain various records and reports relating to current and historical real estate market activity.

 

Other duties as assigned by the Senior Research Coordinator.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.  Ability to effectively train researchers, sales professionals and managers in the use of information-related applications.

 

COMPUTER/ANALYTICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply operations such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations; knowledgeable in the use of Internet, proficient in word processing, presentation and spreadsheet computer applications.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in written or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of real estate terms and definitions, and real estate analytical methods required.  Knowledge of company information systems preferred.
