The GAAP Reporter Service Senior EditorAuthor will perform a critical role in the successful creation and launch of a powerful new research resource that will establish R&G as the market leader in GAAP online information and worktools. The Senior EditorAuthor will lead the design and implementation effort for the GAAP Reporter Service and impose rigorous standards on staff to ensure the necessary professional insight and expertise is utilized to design a cutting-edge customer-oriented product, author market-leading analysis and guidance, and provide expert, rapid response to significant developments in accounting standard-setting.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Design and implement service; devise and apply standards for staff. Closely manage staff to ensure industry-standard publication.

2. Author concise, comprehensive analysis of standards comprising generally accepted accounting principles as the basis of Reporter service, including the pronouncements of FASB, AICPA, SEC, and IASB.

3. Create and integrate special elements including Viewpoints, Cautions, Examples and Illustrations within explanatory material.

4. Research, identify, and integrate select content from the wide range of R&G GAAP compliance content offered on Checkpoint.

5. Research and respond to emerging developments in GAAP standard-setting.

 
Qualifications

7-10 years as financial
egulatory reporterjournalist.

 

3-5 years as a productive, results-oriented supervisor of reporting team able to set priorities and meet multiple deadlines.

 

Possess a working knowledge of Congress, Wall Street, NYSE, NASD, FASB, AICPA SEC, and PCAOB.

 

Proven ability to uncover and report breaking business news in addition to managing the daily workflow of reporting staff.

 

Demonstrated writing ability ranging from concise daily news to in-depth analysis of complex issues.
