Senior Production Specialist

Responsibilities
o Process conversion requests for FERC Reports documents, including graphics and tables
o Perform high level QA on all materials returned from IAD for FERC Reports, as per contract requirements
o Serve as liaison between CCH editorial staff and FERC staff to resolve questions arising from QA of documents to be published
o Perform indexing tasks for FERC Reports.
o Run page composition systems.
o Prepare filing instructions for FERC Reports
o Assemble print dummy, conduct report checks, prepare sig chart and perform POD functions
o Perform SGML load, electronic QA and authorization/promotion of weekly reports
o Produce quarterly transfer binders
o Assist in the processing of documents for publication in FERC Statutes and Regulations
o Perform high level QA on documents to be published in FERC Statutes and Regulations
o Provide print order information to FERC
o Prepare monthly billing packet for FERC publications
o Handle customer service requests for government publications.

Qualifications:
Essential Requirements
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of additional related experience in a publishing environment.
o Strong knowledge of editorial technology process including SGML.
o Strong computer skills
o Detail oriented
o Must be self-starting and self-directed; must show initiative
o Highly developed organizational and time management skills
o Ability to perform high level QA tasks
o Ability to work with minimal supervision
o Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
o Ability to coordinate multiple tasks
o Project management skills
o FLEXIBLE and adaptable to changing assignments
o Ability to work in team environment
