The Senior Writer/Editor will support the efforts of the Association to strengthen YMCA branding and increase visibility for mission and programs in the the DC metropolitan region.? The position will work closely with the Graphics and Design Manager to produce all publications and collateral from the association including, but not limited to Communique, President's Letter, the internal employee newsletter and Board update.? He/she will support the Senior Executive of Marketing and Director of Communications.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Establish schedules and meet deadlinesHave strong project management skills and be able to prioritizeComfortable interacting with peopleMust be inquisitive and have the ability to ask questions, dig to get to the root of the story.Attendance to professional events with CEO and Senior TeamBA/BS degree in English or journalism3-5 years related experiencePosition requires a car for branch visits.? Will spend some time (25%) traveling to events and branches for interviews.?
